Prepared for Flight, LLC, was formed as a makerspace to fulfill the local need for a revolutionary environment where dreams of “what if” can organically develop from the ether of ideas to the full realization of success.  Prepared for Flight is a venture capital group which develops its own IP and manufactures its own products. 

Prepared for Flight®  provides a launchpad for idea development and the opportunity to engage our planet’s human element. Personal experience and knowledge are catalysts in our engine to evolve thought –  the core of discovery – to unleash its limitless potential and redefine possible.  Idea development processes are often atypical and require a non-traditional business approach.  

At Prepared for Flight®, we saw that there was a growing need for individuals to have access to an experienced entrepreneurial knowledge base while still being able to not only develop their own idea, but retain a majority stake in it as well.   Our company was founded to make sure the idea originator and the engineer are credited for their work.  Unconventional in America, but it works for us. 

In 2020 we opened our doors to outside clientele, are constantly expanding our team of collaborators and our manufacturing collective. We created a makerspace and manufacturing infrastructure. 

We welcome your ideas and offer an avenue for you to succeed. 

Our team members, partners in our manufacturing collective, and our clients traverse the professional spectrum, bringing experiences from a variety of industries and market segments. We are engineers and artists, sales managers and marketeers, people who love hands-on work, and some who prefer to simply offer insight. 

We are prepared for innovation, prepared to develop new ideas, by staying swift, agile, and lean, and caring about quality work throughout the process.

•  Outside clientele are always invited to interview with new ideas.   We always kick-off our process with a Non-Disclosure and IP Protection Agreement.  There will be a few other documents if you decide to have us support your mission.  Whichever route you decide on, we want to assure the process is documented for legal protection (for both of us). 

• We have a few dozen ongoing projects at any given time.  Some projects become licensing deals, while others require the development of new manufacturing processes or technologies.  We have experience with short sprints and very long development activities. 

• Exemplifying each core pillar of S.T.E.A.M., our experts are literally scientists, technologists,  engineers, artists and musicians, and mathematicians.  We are practitioners of technology and represent most trades.  We help small businesses and start-ups develop their brands, improve their sales outlooks, perform risk assessments, and transition their manufacturing back to on-shore.  

• Prepared for Flight's Creative Production Team has launched a music label for emerging artists looking to share their music with the world.  Prepared for Flight® has already established relationships with sound engineers, producers, distribution channels, and copyright services (i.e., BMI Group) which we directly support our Artists with, thus saving them time and money. They also avoid the reoccurring costs of these services.   

• The diverse backgrounds of our experts and our domestic partners allow us to offer a more personal experience than a typical accelerator program, which permits us to offer one-off engineering and development services. No matter your project's urgency, we go at your pace.  We have participated in rapid development, failure analyses and triage, reliability testing, design reviews, commercialization plans, and long term strategic product launches.
